course

For course knowledge, detailed study of the route maps is essential. Runners must be prepared to find the race route using the map. This becomes particularly important if the course markers are missing due to wind or outside interference. We therefore strongly recommend the use of a GPS unit.

Course markers are primarily limited to turn-offs and places where there is no through-route.

The organizer provides the participants, depending on the external conditions by taking appropriate measures, the highest possible safety implementation. The race organisers are authorised at short notice and without refund of the entry fee:

  1. Reroute the course;
  2. Interrupt the race and then resume it;
  3. Not to start the race at all or cancel it after starting.

course markers

Together with Alpin Runners Chur we worked out a new route marking concept. Different materials have been tested at night with wind and heavy rain. As a result of these tests we decided to mark the trails with the following materials:

  • road crosses with a noticeable coloured flutter-band with reflector
  • flags and flutter-band along the whole track
  • ever 5k a kilometre board
  • within villages with biodegradable chalk-spray and signposts
